Do you know what fashion tape is? It’s a great tool to add to your outfits to make them more polished. Here are some great ways to use fashion tape!
Are you familiar with fashion tape? It’s basically a double-sided, durable tape that is meant to hold clothing (or body parts!) in place to keep your outfits looking clean and polished. It’s often used for low-cut or drapey tops, and you use the fashion tape to tape the fabric to your skin so you don’t have any accidental peeping! If you don’t really need fashion tape to hold up straps and other pieces of clothes, here are 6 OTHER ways to use fashion tape — it’s actually so useful!
How to Fashion Tape in Unconventional Ways
Stick-down pockets - With cargo pants super popular right now, fashion tape is a great way to keep those pockets smooth and flat. If you have other flap pockets on the back of your jeans or on the front and you need them kept in place, or any other pocket sticks out in a funky way, USE FASHION TAPE!
Fill the gaps between buttons - If you’re busty and always get gaps between your buttons on a shirt, or the buttons are spaced too far apart, fill that space with fashion tape to keep that space from gapping and showing your under clothing!
Keep a folded or cuffed shirt sleeve in place - If you have a t-shirt with cuffed sleeves and a short-sleeved button-up shirt with cuffed sleeves, those cuffs are the bane of your existence! They’re always coming uncuffed and looking sloppy. One little piece of fashion tape, and the cuff has structure and stays in place — it’s a miracle!
Keep a neckline lying flat - This can work for collared shirts or any kind of shirt — if the shirt isn’t staying in place, stick it to another part of the shirt with fashion tape, or stick it to your chest underneath!
Hold lapel in place - If you have jackets and blazers with lapels that flap around and drive you crazy. A small piece of fashion tape keeps them perfectly in place.
Hold a cuff on a pant leg. When you cuff your pants and want them to stay in place. A piece of fashion tape gives that cuff some structure and keeps it looking crisp and in the right spot.
Hold down a belt. Fashion tape works so well too without the little line from the clear elastic. Just attach a piece of tape under the flapping belt end and you’re looking super polished.
Keep a wrap dress or top neckline in place. If you love wrap dresses, but sometimes a true wrap dress is tricky and can have some gaps in the fabric. Fashion tape keeps it together!
Grab yourself some fashion tape and keep it on hand for any little fashion emergency!
