Fertility Show Africa returns to Gauteng During Women’s Month

Fertility Show Africa, the continent’s first and only exhibition targeted at those trying to conceive and those on a journey to parenthood, takes place during Women’s Month in its new venue at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and International Convention Centre.

Fertility Show Africa returns to Gauteng During Women’s Month

The show – whose mission is to break the silence around the fertility issues that more than 15 percent of South Africans face when it comes to building their families – takes place on the weekend of Saturday, August 5, and Sunday, August 6. And those who purchase tickets will receive free entry into The Plant Powered Show, running at the same venue that weekend.

This fourth edition of Fertility Show Africa (FSA) will give those attending the

opportunity to engage with specialists and experts in a supportive and unobtrusive environment, making the show an invaluable resource for those looking to start or expand their family. FSA presents a unique opportunity to meet some of the best specialists, embryologists, nurses, psychologists, social workers and fertility coaches and ask questions, find answers and gather all the necessary information to support their journey to parenthood.

Healthcare professionals too can explore and discover the latest cutting-edge technologies, products and solutions in the field of fertility as well as meet and network with industry colleagues.

FSA 2023 highlights include the popular Expert Talks programme and the Q&A Sessions as well as an in-person Expo area showcasing the latest fertility and journey-to-parenthood products and solutions, enabling visitors to have direct conversations with exhibitors.

IFAASA (Infertility Awareness Association of South Africa) recently acquired an interest in FSA and its CEO Saskia Williams has been appointed event director of FSA and will ensure the event retains a patient-centric approach as, both FSA and IFAASA, share the same mission to break the silence, create awareness and share information around reproductive health issues. Explains Williams:

“I am so excited to be an official part of the FSA team and look forward to growing our shared vision of a show that encompasses the entire fertility journey, with the future introduction of Your Fertility Journey, Your Preggy Journey and Your Parenting Journey. The parents-to-be remain our priority and we formulate every show around how best to provide them with relevant information relating to whatever part of the journey they are on. Mark your diaries, book your spot, bring your notebook and join us for two days of information, support and motivation, to help you on your fertility journey.”

Says Heidi Warricker, CEO of FSA:

“We are delighted to make the move to the Kyalami International Convention Centre. The venue has been completely revamped to include world class facilities and there is ample and affordable parking around the Convention Centre which is easily accessible in the business heart of Gauteng between Pretoria and Johannesburg. FSA growth plans include increasing the offering to encompass the whole fertility, pregnancy and parenthood journey and the venue can accommodate this future demand.”

All FSA Expert Talks will be recorded and made available on FSA’s YouTube channel after the show, free to watch at anytime.

FSA will run alongside The Plant Powered Show (TPPS) – in Gauteng for the first time after successful runs in Cape Town – and FSA ticket holders get free entry into TPPS and vice versa. TPPS promotes healthy eating and a plant-based diet which has been shown to increase fertility. The two shows will run in totally separate venues within the Kyalami International Convention Centre.

FSA is proudly supported by IFAASA, SASREG (South African Society for Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy) and media partners Fertility Road, Europe's first IVF magazine aimed at helping women and men on their path to parenthood and IVF Babble which provides guidance, support and medical advice from trusted experts as well as real life stories and the TTC (trying to conceive) community. Discovery Health and MediFin join this year as sponsors of the Expert Talks zone.
