If you're happy and you know it, celebrate it. Life should be full of happy times and it’s great to feel happy, but what makes you happy? Is it a quiet cup of coffee in the early hours of the morning before the rest of the house wakes up, maybe it’s a warm and sunny breezy day, or perhaps spending time with friends or even capturing the perfect sunset picture.
Here are four simple ways to create your own happiness this World Happiness Day 1. (Wo)man in the mirror You only need a mirror. You stand straight in front of it with your shoulders back and your head up. You look into your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and then start saying out loud powerful affirmations. Your happiness is up to you. 2. Get Moving It’s no secret that exercise boosts your endorphins and makes you feel happier. So grab a friend and get your sweat on with a long walk or a power gym session. Don’t forget to pack in your Happy Days deodorant or roll on from Shower to Shower for that extra sprinkle of happiness magic. 3. Be Present Don't multitask all the time; instead, focus on the world and how it moves around you. To some, this may mean going outdoors for a walk, smelling the flowers, listening to your soothing music, laughing with a friend … or even enjoying doing nothing at all!
4. Check it off Take some time to make a list of the things that make you happy. Include anything, big or small, that makes you happy and that puts a smile on your face. You could have both light-hearted and important stuff in your collection. Don't second-guess yourself; just write down whatever makes you happy. You'll have more success if you give this a lot of thought and get really detailed.
Claire Bowen, brand manager for Shower to Shower says:
“By adding even one of these happiness tips to your daily routine, you can set the day up for a great one! Getting close to nature, eating healthy food, moving your body, and being with your friends, can all make you feel happier, healthier, and more fulfilled. Remember that it's important to make time for yourself and these things, even if it's just a few minutes a day.” “Happiness cannot be travelled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” - Denis Waitley
