Health and Wellness Apps and Services Every Modern Woman Needs on Their Radar

Ladies, we know you are busy. We know you are time poor. We know you are constantly trying to juggle a million tasks at once and rarely take time to focus on you. It is very well known that health and wellness is continuously bumped to the bottom of the to-do list for women. A 2020 study into the health needs and behaviours of women reflects this lack of selfcare by stating 31.7% of women aged 25-44 did not have enough time to attend health check appointments.

We need to remind ourselves that we should not only prioritise our self care and wellness just one week every year; it should be implemented into our everyday routine. So to help every modern woman take control of their health and wellbeing, we have pulled together a list of the absolute must-have apps and services you need to know so you can prioritise you!

Digital Healthcare

A 2020 study also found that one in four women aged between 18-24 did not know where to access health services, with a further one in four women aged between 25-44 revealing that they often couldn’t even get a doctor’s appointment when they needed one.

Menstrual Tracking Apps

Whether you are trying to conceive or just like to have oversight so no bloody surprises happen (you see what I did there), tracking your cycle is a great way to be in-tune with your body and know when you need to prioritise rest and recovery. There are so many great (free) apps on the market to help you track your menstrual cycle, like; Flo, Clue, Ovia, Eve by Glow; just to name a few. As women, keeping your menstrual cycle in-mind can be an important factor in knowing when your energy and mood are at peak performance or when you need to slow it down, helping us to take better care of ourselves.

Endometriosis apps

According to the World Health Organisation, endometriosis affects one in ten girls, women, and individuals born with a uterus – an estimated 190 million people – leading to severe pain, fertility challenges, and a drastic reduction in quality of life. Unlike the typical time it takes to get an endometriosis diagnosis – an estimated seven years – revolutionary new app Endo45 offers instant insights, as well as a roadmap to possible remission and a tried and tested toolkit.

Designed by an endometriosis sufferer who was fed up with the medical system’s inability to provide answers and relief, the app offers expert support and personalised recommendations for each user depending on their specific goal such as reducing pain, enhancing fertility, or improving mental health, taking them on a journey towards living well with endo.

Subscription Care Packages

So, you LOVE the idea of selfcare and taking time to focus on you… but scoff at the thought of trying to fit it into your schedule? Where there is a will, there is a way! Have you heard of subscription-based care packages? Skincare is a great way to prioritise your health and dabble in some selfcare. Whether you’re in your twenties, forties, or eighties, skincare is important. However, heading to the shops to purchase face masks, cleansers, toners, face oils and rose quartz skin rollers can sometimes be overwhelming – not to mention, it’s not at the top of the to-do list. This is where subscription care packages save the day! There’s a beauty box out there for everyone, with packages delivered straight to your door step each month
