About Dr. Ntombifikile Mtshali

Doctor | Healer | Health advocate | Social justice activist | Public speaker | Shout-It-Now CEO


Dr. Ntombifikile Mtshali (MD, MBA) is the Chief Executive Officer of Shout-It-Now, a South African NPC that delivers youth-friendly, community-based HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health and related services in the Gauteng and North West provinces. In her role as CEO, and as a strong advocate for women and reproductive health rights, Dr. Mtshali leads the organisation to continue its modern delivery of HIV and gender-based violence prevention services.


As a medical doctor, she obtained her MBChB at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and she holds an MBA degree from the Wits Business School. In addition, she has a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from CETAD, University of Lancaster in the UK,e and serves as a chairperson of the CHABAHIVA (Church and Business against HIV and AIDS) Trust Board and as a hospital member at the Edenvale Hospital.


Dr. Mtshali is an experienced manager with an exemplary 12-year postgraduate track record in clinical work (in both the private and public sectors) and health service management. She seamlessly blends her experience in business re-engineering with her technical expertise and extensive public health management experience, while consistently championing for the right to accessible and cost-effective quality healthcare for all. She has spearheaded several patient-centred innovations and boasts multiple awards in recognition of her work.
